The Dakar basket originates from Senegal. Its unique design will add a touch of chic to any home. Functionally, it can be used for laundry, general storage or as a giant plant pot.
These baskets are constructed by the Wolof women of Senegal by coiling cattail stalks and skillfully weaving salvaged pieces of coloured plastic to form beautiful patterns and shapes.
