The n'Goni is a string harp used across West Africa but originating from the Bambara from the where it derives its name. Made from the traditional african calabash (wood) and goats skin, this musical instruments is similar to the Kora but traditionally has only 6 strings (this variant has 10)
For those of you with an interest in history, the n'Goni is thought to be the musical ancestor to the Banjo
